Afroarabia open International Series with emphatic seven goal triumph

Afroarabia produced the perfect start to their International Series campaign with a ruthless 7-0 victory over Benelux, laying down an early marker as one of the favourites to challenge for the title.
There had been plenty of anticipation surrounding the opening fixture of the tournament, but few would have expected such a one sided contest. Afroarabia combined clinical finishing with complete control of possession to overwhelm Benelux, finishing with 10.82 expected goals, 22 shots on target and 19 chances created in one of the most dominant displays seen in recent international competition.
The breakthrough arrived after 15 minutes when MALUZUR finished from ahttuso's pass, and the pair continued to torment the Benelux defence throughout the first half. Ahttuso doubled the lead on 32 minutes after Maluzur turned provider. zc6x added a third just before the interval, again assisted by Maluzur.
Any hope of a response disappeared after the restart. Afroarabia remained patient in possession, completing 114 of their 179 passes while forcing Benelux into long periods without the ball. Their average pass length of just 103.9 studs reflected a controlled, combination based approach compared to Benelux's far more direct style.
Substitutions shortly after the hour did little to disrupt the momentum. Zc6x struck again on 72 minutes before adding his hat trick with seven minutes remaining, taking his tally to three goals from an outstanding individual performance that earned him the Player of the Match award.
Benelux briefly believed they had found a route back into the contest when they scored in the second half, but the flag was raised for offside. Rather than shifting the momentum, the decision preceded another wave of Afroarabia pressure as zc6x and Maluzur added four more goals to complete the rout.
The numbers underlined just how comprehensive the victory was. Afroarabia generated almost five times Benelux's expected goals, recorded 57% possession and restricted their opponents to only three chances created. Goalkeeper JOELDROMMEI was repeatedly called into action, making 16 saves despite conceding seven, preventing an even heavier defeat.
Maluzur and zc6x understandably stole the headlines, but the supporting cast played an equally important role. Ahttuso contributed a goal and two assists before being substituted, while joeloansah quietly controlled midfield with a 91.5 stud average passing distance and four successful dribbles. At the back, Lisandroo produced seven clearances and completed 68% of his passes as Benelux struggled to create sustained pressure.
For Benelux, there were few positives beyond the resilience of JoelDrommel in goal. The side managed just eight shots, created only three chances and completed only 46% of their passes as Afroarabia's pressing consistently forced turnovers and prevented any rhythm from developing.
Goal difference could prove decisive in a tournament expected to be closely contested, making this result significant beyond the opening three points. Afroarabia have immediately established themselves as one of the teams to beat, while Benelux face an early test of character if they are to recover and keep their qualification hopes alive.
