RebeIinq steals the show with a dominant performance which proves too be too much for Stocksbridge, as he picked up 5 goals and the Man Of The Match award in a crucial win in the title race.

Monday night brought us the biggest clash of this season so far, between two of the top 3 National Division teams, Stamford Athletic and Stocksbridge Town.

Stocksbridge Town were heading into this game with the goal to break their curse of 4 losses and 1 draw against Stamford Athletic and also their goal of getting closer to Durham Athletic, who currently sit joint 1st with Stamford Athletic, ahead on goal difference.

The first 10 minutes of this match were competitive, with both teams getting an equal amount of chances but in the 14th minute, RebeIinq towered over 3 Stocksbridge defenders and scored his first of many to come.

Many thought this would be a wake up call for Stocksbridge to get their equalizer, but only 6 minutes later, RebeIinq struck once again winning a cross sent by his partner in crime akumaki.

It was only after Stamford's 2nd that Stocksbridge started to feel more alert, they started playing more attacking football compared to their passive play beforehand and it paid off after the 31st minute when Stocksbridge's shining light bennasson would dribble 2 players before sending in a cross to 3upariu, who headered it into the back of the net.

Going into the 2nd half, Stocksbridge were expected to use their momentum in order to find an equalizer but after some great movement by akumaki to find RebeIinq at a perfect spot, House77O was forced to make a risky tackle on RebeIinq which gave away a penalty and a chance for Stamford to extend their lead once more, which RebeIinq made sure to profit off of, scoring his 3rd goal of the match inside 50 minutes.

In the 4 minutes that followed, Stocksbridge applied immense pressure on Stamford, which paid off as they won a corner kick, which they made sure to convert as joeloansah's unpredictable short pass to bennasson caught Stamford off guard and Stocksbridge shortened the deficit to 1.

For the remainder of regular time, Stocksbridge tried every attack they could of but they weren't able to break Stamford Athletic's defence and in the 91st minute, RebeIinq rifled a shot into the back of the net for the 4th time and when you thought it was over, he capped the match off with a beautiful tight angle goal for his 5th and final goal of the match, sealing a dominant victory to prove that despite their struggles to Vauxhall Rovers last week, they can still demolish big teams.
