MATCH REPORT: Cleethorpes Town 12-1 Beverley United
Cleethorpes absolutely battered their Humberside rivals 12-1, providing a statement first win of the season to go top of the table for now.
Cleethorpes started the scoring in the 28th minute, with a shot from just outside the box from striker salted_crisps, following a pass from kaoshvy which sent him through on goal. Cleethorpes doubled their lead 7 minutes later in the 35th minute through salted_crisps again, who slotted into the bottom corner once again, this time with a backheel.
Beverley cut down Cleethorpes' lead back down to 1, through a ragnar_boya goal in the 43rd minute, before Beverley defender KYOZVNN hacked down mateiryan just outside the box when he was clean through on goal, leading to a red card. Mateiryan then converted his free kick in the 45+2nd minute to make it 3-1 to Cleethorpes.
After his goal and before the kick-off could be taken, a fight broke out in the middle of the pitch, which saw Beverley defender FARMANDO11 sent off, earning Beverley's 2nd red card of the game.
Cleethorpes defender PakiBaller was then subbed on at half-time to take the game from 8v8 (8v6) to 9v9 (9v7).
The scoring then went rampant in the second half, with mateiryan bagging his 2nd and 3rd goals of the game in the 51st and 54th minute, completing a 13 minute hattrick. Both goals were assisted by salted_crisps.
Club owner PADTOPHT then scored a tidy finish in the 76th minute, once again assisted by salted_crisps, opening his account for the season.
More goals and salted_crisps assists followed, with mateiryan bagging his fourth of the day in the 80th minute, before an absolute peach of a shot from salted_crisps from outside the box found the top corner in the 82nd minute, having flown over the keeper and dipped into the goal, completing his own hattrick.
Another screamer followed from wyrmgirl in the 90th minute, who, after receiving the ball from REEEEEE21314, dribbled without being opposed, and from far outside the box, took on a dipping effort, which found the far bottom corner, bouncing in off the post.
PakiBaller, having come on at half time for his debut, then found the net after his shot from the far-right of the box in the 90+2nd minute after having deflected off another player. Cleethorpes scored again a minute later following another top corner shot from salted_crisps, brining him to 4 goals and 4 assists.
Debutant PakiBaller then got his second of the match after Beverley goalkeeper YotengoreEEEe3 fumbled with the ball at his feet, which was then stolen by the Cleethorpes defender, and tapped in from on the goal line to finish off an amazing win for Cleethorpes against their rivals on Humberside.
