Youngvampleo returns to Durham Athletic
Durham Athletic are delighted to confirm the return of Portuguese midfielder youngvampleo, who rejoins the club on a free transfer following his departure from Castlefield United.
Leo returns to Durham after an outstanding Season 4, in which he played a leading role in Castlefield’s Division 2 title-winning campaign.
Operating in midfield, he contributed across all areas of the pitch and finished the season with 4 goals and 19 assists in all competitions. His creativity, consistency and influence made him one of Castlefield’s standout performers as they secured promotion as champions.
He now rejoins for a second spell with Durham Athletic. He previously represented the club during Season 3, primarily playing at left back as he helped the side lift the Carablox Cup.
Manager Neamelander said: "I'm thoroughly delighted to welcome Leo back at Durham. He was one of our main targets heading into the window, he knows the club and what we expect. He's flourished since his move to Castlefield and his return adds real quality to the squad."
His return brings further quality and versatility to the squad, being capable of contributing both in midfield and in defensive areas to a high quality when required. He will wear the number 10 shirt and has already joined up with his new teammates for pre-season.
Everyone at Durham Athletic is pleased to welcome Youngvampleo back to the club.
